Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions avoided and removed by the BNDES through Climate Fund’s support

The National Fund on Climate Change (Climate Fund) is one of the main funding sources for achieving Brazil’s goals under the Paris Agreement. The carbon reductions or removals made possible through its projects are one of the most relevant effectiveness indicators of the fund. The tools used by the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) to measure these achievements are acknowledged for their methodological transparency, placing the Climate Fund in a prominent position.
